You have to play this game. If not you will regret it for the rest of your life

So, capcom has released the fourth game in their now infamous series. Resident Evil, or to some people Biohazard. But, I will not lie to you. This is a drastic change to your normal resident evil. That's why I've decided to go over the gameplay first. The story revolves around one man, one of the stars of resident evil 2, Leon Scott Kennedy. The game begins by Leon giving you a recap on the events of racoon city and the aftermath of the T-virus outbreak. However the actual story begins when the president daughter Ashley Graham is kidnapped on her way home from University. There has been no ransom demand and no identification of the kidnappers. So, what does the president do? He sends in his most trusted agent. Leon. You begin the game with a handgun and a combat knife. You are then given orders to search for Ashley and ask villagers to see if they've seen her. The first villager you ask seems normal enough and he even talks to you(in spanish). However when Leon attemps to leave, the villager attacks with an axe. This is the beginning of this crazy game. With regards to the gameplay, the amount of varying tactics make this game limitless in replay value. Foe example, the first enemy(ganado) you encounter can be taken down in so may ways, shoot him in the head and kick him, shoot him in the knee and slash him or even for expert players, you can run forwards and then walk backwards straight away so he'll strike thin air, then its just a matter of running up to him and slahing him in the foot and face a couple of times. As I said, your options are limitless. This is the same for bosses, each of them can be taken down in at least 5 different ways. The camera angles are much different from the usual resident evil. Normally the games are based on movie like angles, but in this, you have an over the shoulder camera giving you a clear view of all your opponents. Next thing is the enemies. You are no longer fighting off zombies, instead you are doing battle with ganados. These are a slight variation to zombies in the fact that they can wield weapons and they are controlled by an overlord. Lord Osmund Saddler. The reason being is that they are infected with Las Plagas. Another virus/creature. I will not tell you anything about Plagas right now as I do not want to spoil anything for you. However with your enemies wielding weapons this adda a lot to the game. Weapons include chainsaws, axes, sickles, pitchforks, dynamite and even spiked balled chains! Also unlike other resident evils, you earn money to buy weapons, not solve puzzles. You buy your weapons from the merchant who is an exception to the game by being a neutral ganado. The next thing on the list is the graphics, every detail you can imagine is there, blood, lightning, light and shadow effects, gun flash effects, the works. And the great thing is that each of these effects is as beautiful as the next. Although for those of you looking for the same standard of graphics as Resident evil remake for the gamecube then I think you will be slightly diappointed. They are not as good. But in saying this you will find it hard to get a game that beats this one graphics wise. Moving on to the last categorie is the sound. I will not lie to you, Capcom broke the mold when making the sound for this game. Each ganado says different things in spanish, each gun has its own reload and firing sound and the chainsaw effects are enough to spook anyone. Nuff said. As a last addition to this already overwhelming game, it has a couple of extras, these include mercenaries, a movie browser and an little extra which allows you to see the game from a different view. However if I told you what it was called it would spoil the game. But may a special mention go to the mercenaries mode which provides an entirely new game onto the main one. You get to play as either 5-mercenaries, one of which is leon and another being umbrella agent HUNK. The rest are classed as spoilers. Let me just say, play this game at least once. For those of you who like their horror games, there is none of that here. This game couldn't scare a two year old. But you will still like it. If not you need seeing to.
