Good multiplayer aspects, but lacks depth and isn't scary enough
The puzzles were too simplistic and boring. The gameplay did get a bit tedious, and I found myself struggling to finish the game at the end. As for the story, well, I didn't find it very engaging nor did I feel a connection with any of the characters.
The good? The weapon customization options are a nice touch, and there are some cool things to be unlocked. Yeah, that's about it.
The lack of scares and the focus on killing enemies instead of avoiding them where possible make this game hard to recommend to survival horror fans. The fact that most of the game took place in daylight didn't help at all. It looks as if Resident Evil is moving in the same direction as the Silent Hill series and turning into an action game.
On it's own, it's alright. As a Resident Evil game, it's very disappointing.
