To start things off, it's a total change of scenery. You go from like Gothic Europe to Africa. It's actually kinda nice to see that, the one drawback is that b/c it's in Africa, about 60% of the game is in the sunlight, which takes away the "dark and spooky" factor that RE 4 had. You also have a new partner, which is the biggest drawback in this game. It's not the having the partner part, I don't mind it,it's just that if you're playing by yourself, HER AI SUCKS(Not as bad as Ashley's in RE 4), but she will eventually die b/c sometimes she just kinda stands there and lets them kill her. So, that means you should definitely play w/ somebody. The game is a really fun action game. It's got a lot of great weapons. There is some things I don't like "equipment" wise. Like, there's body armor, which sounds great, but you get it, put it your pack, get it put on, but it has to STAY IN YOUR PACK! Which means it just sits there, after being equipped, taking up space for you not to be able to use that one spot, b/c another thing I forgot to mention, unlike in RE 4, there's no upgrading the size of your pack, which is really annoying. One weapon that I was really disappointed by...was the Magnum. It was my favorite in RE 4, but in this you get it like 3 and a half chapters in, and never see anymore ammo for it until the end, so your only other option is to keep buying the Magnum w/ it's default ammo in it from the merchant, right? WRONG! You know why? B/C THERE IS NO MERCHANT! You have to beat the level, save and quit the level then start again in order to get to the shop. That's probably the biggest drawback from this game. What saves this game is the beautiful graphics, awesome story, cool levels, new(and interesting, but somehow familiar) enemies, and WESKER!!! Yes, Wesker, in my opinion one of the most awesome villains of all time. It's definitely a great game to play. If you have $5 on the Playstation Network or however many Microsoft points, you should definitely buy the versus mode add-on, it's really fun. But there's also the Mercenaries mode again, and replay value for the game in my opinion. I highly recommend it, even though I said all that bad stuff in the beginning, that's only b/c I was knit-picking
