Well, i've been waiting for Resident Evil 5 to come out for so long and now that it has and i rented it and finished it. I can honestly say that it wasn't as good as i thought it would be. The story is very engaging and interesting and there are a couple of twists throughout the game. Although, some of them are predictable. There are tons of bosses in this game. Lots of them appear later in the game, but most of them are pretty random. The 4th game had bosses that you face after you track them down and you knew about them. These bosses just come out of nowhere. You don't really know why they got there, but there are about 4 main bosses in the game. Hopefully i'm not going to spoil this for you but Albert Wesker is in fact the main boss. I don't want to give out any spoilers so i'll see how i can handle that. The ammo in this game runs out way faster than in the fourth one. So you better save your ammo and use your knife as often as possible. The mercenary (or whatever), that sold you stuff in the fourth one, is gone and instead you get to choose your equipment and buy stuff right before each chapter begins. This game is a little shorter than the fourth one and that's kinda dissapointing but it's still not too short. I sent about a little more than 10 hours into it. To be exact, i spent 11 hours beating the game. Also, what's up with the bosses looking like the bosses off of Lost Planet. I mean, they have those same-looking weak spots. They maybe have some kind of connection. Also, your partner can be pretty dumb at times and it gets frustrating. Sometimes, she's so dumb that you don't even want to give her any ammo or health. Although, she is there to help you when you're about to die, but she doesn't really help you with any of the bosses or enemies that you encounter. Probably opening doors is the best she can do. Also, it really sucks that when you choose another weapon or want to heal yourself, the game doesn't pause! It just keeps on going and you expect to replenish health like that. Forget that! Resident Evil 5 is a great challenge but it gets frustrating at times. The bosses are easier to kill than the bosses off of the fourth one. The cutscenes are action-packed, suspenseful, sometimes dialogue-heavy, and you just don't want them to end. The story is one of the best parts of the game. The ending is kinda predictable. I mean after you beat the game and you see the ending, you just think to yourself that all that crap was probably not worth it. Anyways, i would recommend this game to Resident Evil Fans and shooter fans, just don't expect the best.
