Although it's short, you'll appreciate this first major back-story to RE5 for its slow-paced, horror-orientated gameplay
Contains: Infrequent Strong Bloody Violence, Horror and Gruesome Images

Lost in Nightmares is the first major back-story to Resident Evil 5, and sees Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine descend into the dark as they encounter new enemies and puzzles in the dungeons beneath the Spencer Mansion before a final showdown with their nemesis Albert Wesker.
Early on in this horror-orientated DLC it revolves heavily around backtracking, moderate puzzle-solving and finding documents that shed more light on the back-story of events before Resident Evil 5's storyline. The slow pace is good, and the surprising lack of enemies until really late on makes the atmosphere suspenseful as you keenly await your first, bloody encounter with something horrific. The same outstanding graphics from the main game are noticeable throughout, with excellent level design and lighting effects that enhance the passages of cautious progression down densely lit corridors with lightning flashing through the windows of the apparently abandoned mansion. The typical storm outside, that represents horror and isolation, sustains a foreboding atmosphere on proceedings, and as you descend further into the trap-filled home of Ozwell E. Spencer in search of Wesker you'll come to suspect that the gory images depicting barbaric deaths aren't manmade, but of something else that defies rational explanation. Though there is only one main enemy type, the deformed creature that trudges towards you is terrifyingly designed, and wields a deadly axe that can kill you outright if not avoided. Then combine this enemy within a maze-like environment with you having no equipment and requiring a puzzle to be solved in order to defeat it and proceed onwards, and you have a very suspenseful few minutes of peril that justify the fun nature of the combat and the cooperation needed in order to advance in the latter stages of this solid DLC.
It's a pity Lost in Nightmares doesn't last longer than an hour, considering it just starts amping up the combat, tension and horror before cutting to the end boss fight, but it's an awesome little package that ties up events nicely before cutting to the final cutscene that depicts Jill Valentine and Albert Wesker's alleged deaths that you witnessed in Resident Evil 5, and leaves you overly satisfied with the content you got for your moneys worth.
