RE5: Mixed opinions, mixed emotions - Though Great game!

User Rating: 9.5 | Resident Evil 5 (Collector's Edition) PS3
There have been many debates, arguments, and heat toward Resident Evil 5. However, here in my two cents. RE5 in my opinion is a fascinating and extremely fun game - provided that you do not think of the classic while playing it.

Pros: The game is well worth the money you pay for it. At first, I rented RE5 just to get a taste. While renting it, I completed the game twice in 4 days (that's how exciting it was for me) - not to mention the countless hours spent on Mercenaries mode. It game play is up-to-date with the new generation game play (over the shoulder view). In short, it's an improvement from RE4. Also, the graphics and sconces are amazing. The Co-op system is developed really well, better than any game I've played with a two player co-op.

Cons: It lacks the RE touch. It's far from horror (maybe suspenseful and a little jumpy at times), but that's as far as it goes. There is not one single puzzle in the game (which really gears towards the "no thinking zone"). It also lacks the free-walk style the classic RE had. Cannot walk and shoot (similar to all the other RE games).

Despite the pros and cons of the game, it is defiantly a game worth buying. It will have you come back for more with all the unlockables, weapon upgrades, co-op, and versus modes. It's a ton of fun, especially when played with another person (co-op) and it's full of excitement.
