Epic game with just a few nuisances, but still one of my favorite 360 games to date. Continue reading to see why.
The graphics are truly amazing. The facial expressions look real and the environments are awesome to look at.
The gameplay could have been better. At first I found it truly horrifying that I couldn't move while I had to aim at a monster that could kill me in one hit if it reached me, but after some time playing you get used to it and barely notice it. Of course, even though I'm fine with it, it would still be nice that for their sequel they would fix this.
The campaign may have some very few yet annoying, repetitive points in it, like having to activate a statue, watch stairs move, and then repeat the same thing with a different statue 3 or 4 more times. Still, the campaign is really fun to play, and once you've unlocked Professional mode, the whole level of difficulty drastically changes, so anyone looking for a serious challenge would love that.
Even with all this awesomeness though, the most time I've spent in Resident Evil 5 is playing the Mercenaries mode, a mode first created in Resident Evil 4, that you unlock after finishing the campaign at least once.
The Mercenaries Mode has about 8 different maps, each with their own different enemies and "bosses", and 10 different characters to choose from (3 Chris', 3 Sheva's, 2 Jill's and 2 Wesker's). The point of this mode is to kill as many enemies as possible within the time limit, while also breaking big orange crystal things (still don't really know what they are o.o ) to gain additional time to kill more enemies!
The Mercenaries mode is an absolute blast, and wanting to gain a higher rank will keep you playing more and more, until you gain the S rank and are completely pleased with yourself.
All in all, this game is a must buy, but if you don't trust me, at the very least give it a chance and rent it. You'll probably want to buy it afterwards.
