Sorry in advance, for some reason it will only let me post in this block format. Honestly speaking, I've loved almost every single Resident Evil that Capcom has released, even when Resident Evil 5 was criticized by many of my old-school Resident Evil friends, I stood by it and really loved the game (especially the mercenaries). Resident Evil 6 is by far the worst game in the series that I've ever wasted my money buying. There are hundreds of issues that I could go on about, however I'll try to keep this review shorter than my othersThe positives:The game has very well done graphics and visuals. There are certain points where the action does get you a little out of your seat, but it's usually over-shadowed by the frustration you'll get while playing the game. While I'm not a fan of the path the story has taken, you do get pretty drawn into the story. The negatives:The game has very poorly done cinematic sequences where you'll often get caught by an enemy and be dead by no fault of your own. When I was playing through Leon's campaign I recall fighting a horde of zombies underground, one of them leaped on top of me and then suddenly I hear Helena scream "Leon! TRAIN!" The ensuing crunch made me replay another 5 minutes worth of my game which I did not appreciate. On the average, I die around 8 to 9 times per chapter and am on last-stand around 16 to 17 times.I believe the contrary to what some other reviewers say concerning weapons and ammo. I've noticed that no matter what I do, I'm always running low on ammo and never have more than 15 handgun bullets toward the end of the chapter (usually only 2 or 3). I'm not sure whether the weapons you get are terrible or the enemies you face are just, as another reviewer stated, "bullet sponges." I really hate the lack of accuracy that the weapons have, as well as the lack of character steadiness. Obviously, you're not going to have the steadiest hand in a zombie attack, but it quite literally feels like the characters are suffering from Parkinson's disease. The weapons that best demonstrate this point is any of the sniper rifles with their incredible shakiness. The enemies are terribly over-powered and sometimes don't even feel defeatable. Normally, a game will hint to weaknesses and when you find that weakness it will send you an obvious sign of "Ding ding! That's the ticket to victory!" Many of the bosses you face just feel like you can shoot them forever and they're never even stunned. The whole point of every Resident Evil game in the past has been based on using the "guns." Now you have to use physical attacks, which end up draining all your energy and leave you defenseless, as much as possible to save up your ammo because it takes 95% of your ammo to take down a mini-boss such as the fat gassy monster in the cathedral or the fat bloated zombie you face on the gun-store roof-top. Often when you're playing the game you'll find yourself saying "not this guy again!" Even the zombies can be shot 6 times in the body and it does not even effect them, only 3 shots or more to the head actually do anything. Finally, the camera angles are often very poorly done, and will often leave you slightly confused or disoriented. There's a lot of quantity to play in this game, but the quality just isn't to par with the quantity. If anything, I think it'd have been a smarter idea to release the game in three parts, each disc costing 20 dollars, see the fans' reaction to the Leon Campaign, and then try to improve the game based on criticisms. Once the game's been improved they could've released a full version with a little bit of extra content included to encourage people to buy. The game itself I give a 1/10 but, simply out of respect for what the series used to be, I'll give it an extra 2 points, for my 3/10 review. If I'm not impressed by the next demo I play of a Resident Evil game, I won't waste my money on it ever again thanks to this atrocity to the series. I'm honestly contemplating sending the game back with a note saying "keep my money, but take your game back. Edit: It takes a long time to get used to the game but it'll start to grow on you after while, I've revised my score to a 5.
