Ken VanOrg is just being a prick to give such a low score, it isn't that bad nor is it the best RE game.
Good:
Survival game like RE 1, 2, 3
Good graphic.
Ok story.
Combat once you got use to it was a ok, still like RE5 controls
Very dark, it was nighttime 24/7.
Some of the scenes like the gravel was very good. I like RE5 more, but that was too much daytime.
Bad:
linear.
Lack of exploration.
Item chest is gone.
The beginning and end had too much of the flash-like interactive cut-scenes gameplay. I always hated those.
Weapon are power level don't seem to be as fun this time. I used the pistol most of the game.
This is a first person shooter view point, it makes me dizzy. It is consider 3rd person because you see the character in-front of you. The camera is too close not as wide as other RE game. I would say closer to RE4. So don't sit too close to the TV.
Neutral:
Not a horror game, since it has been in a while I put it as neutral.
Weapon selection or controller handling has change, but it has changed many times throughout the series.
Puzzles are ok not great, I figured it out easily.
Changes:
No ink ribbon.
No hording amno since there is no item chests.
Has some what of a level up system now, so some people can be much better then other. Before your power was what weapon you got. You can upgrade your melee or shooting skills.
No review:
I haven't played mercenaries mode yet
While this game has a lot of bad element it isn't as bad as Kevin and gamespot rank of 4.5 is. 4.5 games are designed by people in their basement, RE is not that. The game didn't really pull me in as other games had in the past. I thought it was a good game, just not as good as RE1, RE4 or to some features RE5.
