Not survival horror anymore...it's something else, but is it good?

Gameplay:
LEON:
- there isn't much of a tutorial in terms of teaching how to use cover
- right at the start of the game you are thrown into a cinematic button timing sequence with lots of action packed in.
- you can display the route you must take in a press of a button
- leon can sprint
- leon can move around while the menu is up
- open crates for items
- pull finishers like in sleeping dogs
- ally helps you get to unreachable places
- character will trip over dead bodies
- innocent people are idiots (zombie come from inside stone and they stand there and watch)
- ammo found in crates, pots, and defeated zombies
- puzzles
- you are able to slide dash and crawl in order to avoid some obstacles
- small symbols show where your partner is and if she is in danger
- some pretty unique enemies, loud lung zombies, fat zombie, zombie that has 3 parts and reconnects, transformer style zombie, spider human zombies, invisible zombies, mutated flies
- depending on the difficulty the items become more scarce and enemies are a bit tougher
- you can actually fall off edges if you are not careful,
- partner helps you move heavy objects, reach places u cant reach by yourself, and pull synchronized levers.
- lots of upgrades
- real time button response mini games are mostly quite intuitive, plus the game adds tension by making the situation grim.
- killing snakes or chickens do not give you items unlike re4.
- laser mini-game
- mercenaries mode
- epic boss fights. (huge fly)
- the game is still live when menu is up
- quick shot
- lots of weapons
- leon reports to hunnagun
- occasionally the camera will be fixed to give the old school resident evil players the feeling of the original resident evils
- sometimes you may empty most of your rounds only find out that you need to use some other method to harm the boss. the game could of told you earlier, especially with the scarce bullet supply at times.
- non-repetitive gameplay. the game always throw new things at you.
CHRIS/piers:
- starts off with emotional cutscene
- control chris or piers
- each character has a different GUI
- dramatic camera angles
- best strat is probably to do quick shot, then melee
- enemies (J'avo) have guns so you must use cover system more
- chris and piers reports to BSAA headquarters
- chris cares a lot about all his men
- on rail shooting
- chris arcarde racing and flying jet
JAKE/sherry
- sherry has a electric baton
- jake is selfish, doesnt care much except for his 50 million. But he cares more as the game progresses
- exciting jet ski sequences
- stealth mode
- sometimes when the camera is placed infront of you during chase scenes, and the game expects you to dodge incoming obstacles, the perspective can become wonky
- jake can swing on poles
- canon ball zombie
ADA:
- you get to use ada's grapple
- you get your first mind teaser puzzle here
- she goes solo
- i realize that things are more tense when you do not have a partner to fall back on. Because just in case you do run out of health, you can still have your partner save you
Storys:
- gripping story.
- the game is all about being able to pull through last second for the protagonists
Graphics/setting:
- detailed and smooth
- swampy areas, church graveyards, Chinatown markets, apartments, underground chambers
Characters/Voice acting:
- emotional and believable voice acting.
- indepth characteres
Replay value
- about 10 hr campaign gameplay for each character totally 40 hrs
- cutscenes shows events in resident evil happen chronologically
- mercenaries mode. you defeat a constant wave of enemies until the time runs out. You can get more time by breaking hour glasses.
- online mode (agent hunt)
