Awesome! Get it! Favorite of series! Gamespot has 4.5 really!? I think they meant 4.5 of a 5.0 possible score.
Kevin 'senior editor' complains of unnecessary deaths. Sorry to dis you, but just pay attention and react quicker.
The game is hard at first, I got too used to infinite ammo in the last game, it's available here also but unlock-able with many hours of gameplay.
The new inventory system is similar with limited amount of space. A big plus is the ability to carry all the weapons you find, which helps a lot when fighting those enormous infected monsters.
Weapons cannot be upgraded like the previous two REs with the new skill currency, just perks can be purchased. I didn't notice that only a few perks can be used at first, I bought a lot of cheap ones only to not be able to use them all together, bummer. I don't like this, what's the incentive to unlock all skills? Am I missing something? Only different configurations can used after advancing through the game.
Conclusion, awesome game. A must for Resident Evil fans!
Edit: OK, my heartbeat is back down to normal, I getting really excited during escape sequences, and there are a lot. I've completed the game on normal and it was a lot of fun. I'm going to play on Veteran next. Ada's campaign was the most challenging, since you've read already, no teammate to help out, she's a lone gun mostly.
Partner's AI is a hit and miss. Sometimes they are on top of things helping you out, and then there are times your partners are oblivious to you getting ripped to shreds by a C-Virus host.
Playing online co-op fixes that problem easy.
Still Awesome!
