Honestly, it's not that bad

Resident Evil 6 - Xbox 360 Review

It certainly isn't the best, but it's honestly not that bad. I'm a big time fan of Resident Evil 4 and 5. 4 was better than 5 and so I expected 6 to be at least in the realm of 5. Anyone of expected something as good as 4 was shooting too high. Leon isn't was made the game-- the fact that it was new and they had a different team of people working on it is what made it great.

Resident Evil 6 isn't that bad of a game. I was appalled by the 4.5 rating, so I tried it out for myself. And at first, I admit, I was disappointed. By the lack of variety and many of the features that I had come to love about 5. And the game does have a lot of setbacks, like too many quick time events and little game play quirks that rip the control from you more often than not.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Overall though, it's a fun game. There are 3 lengthy campaigns (5-6 hours)(total approx: 21.5 hours) and that's just the campaigns. There are also bonuses, unlockables, and lots of things to collect. There is AGENT HUNT and MERCENARIES. The game isn't very scary; but neither was 5. It is an action game, but that seems to be the direction that the game is leaning toward nowadays anyway. To enjoy this game, you just gotta have an open mind and accept the direction of where the game is going.

I still am having fun playing it; after about 2 campaigns down and in the midst of collecting extras. I love Resident Evil games and it would be a mistake not to at least rent this game, if not pick it up. There ARE frustrations but the story is good and the graphics. And it's fun.

Resident Evil 6 for Xbox 360 gets a 7.0 out of 10. Because Honestly, it's not that bad. And there are definitely some memorable and fun moments with variety throughout the campaigns. Ultimately though, the series is on a downward slope and needs to go back to the roots of what got it noticed in the first place: Scariness. Being Alone. And a sense of desperation.
