I've never been so surprised to see such a badly reviewed game turn out to actually be so good.

If you believe I am a Resident Evil fanboy, check my past review of RE:ORC. But, I do enjoy the series. I will, however, call out a game for being awful even if it does bare the Resident Evil name. RE6, just isn't one of those games. In fact, after playing through all three co-op campaigns, I am convinced the GS reviewer didn't play through nearly as much of the game as he claims. I have e-mailed him about this and he has not gotten back to me. Why do I say this? Because he complains about QTE's and losing control of your character as main detriments to the game. I've been a gamer for over 22 years, and have played a lot of bad games, and I have no idea what he is talking about. You are in control of your character at least 90% of the time. The other 10% are QTE's and cutscenes, but guess what? The cutscenes are amazing and the QTE's are hardly a bother. This game does have issues. In the end, the gameplay and graphics are not nearly as polished as RE5. There is no other explanation for this other than they have had developers leave Capcom between 5 and 6. The hit detection leaves something to be desired as well. In the end, this is an ambitious game that gives you four different stories; all of them excellent. You won't get bored and won't regret playing this game. It's the cumulative climax of all the previous Resident Evil games and shouldn't be missed due to a few horrendously inaccurate reviews.
