Resident Evil Code Veronica X - Good, but outdated system.

User Rating: 7.8 | Resident Evil Code: Veronica X GC
Resident evil Code Veronica was originally released for the Sega Dreamcast a few years back, and now is back with added content, but it still remains the same game at heart. You star as Clair Redfield, looking for her brother in a lab in paris where you are captured and brought to a prison known as Rockford Island. This is where the true Nightmare begins.

Gameplay: If you have ever played a resident evil game, you will know what to expect. you run through the area, solving puzzles and killing an assortment of various monsters ranging from Zombies to more gruesome creatures. The puzzles themselve are not to difficult and you will rarely have a hard time with them. Graphics: The Graphics are decent, and nothing compared to this day and age, with the advent of Resident evil 4, the graphics seem outdated and ancient, as well as the surrounding Area. The monsters are well enough detailed to be frightening in some points. but all in all, the games graphics are simply outdated by todays standard.

Sound: As usual the sound is great, and is sometimes the only indication of impeding danger, be it the sound of claws on stone, or the slow moving dragging sound of zombies, The music is also well done and puts you on edge almost constantly.

Value: If your a fan of the series, you should definitly get this game, if your new to resident evil, you might do well, starting with Resident evil remake, but i can immagine, that some people will be turned off by this game and that would put the wrong image to a great gaming series. The game is good, dont get me wrong, but its simply outdated. Give it a chance, and you will most likely appreciate it for what it is, a solid Survival horror game. This game also features some nice unlockables.
