This review was written with no particular stucture. This is from one gamer to another. I'm as skeptical as they come esp. when comes to new games. I have played through 1,2,3,CODE,REMAKE AND ZERO. What I like about this game is the fact that it requires real team work and chemistry in order to survive. The A.I. (single player mode cohorts)is not up to par as what most would like but some ONLINE players can make the A.I. look like scholars. The ONLINE experience on the other hand, with cooperative players, can create a sense of brotherhood. I give the A.I. of the characters credit for producing a factor of unpredictability. The enemies A.I. is more relentless than previous titles. The zombies chase from room to room, not giving you much of a chance to take a breather. Some of them stumble and stop while others lunge at a steady pace. There's alot of players complaining about not having the ability to chat during ONLINE play. Personally, I like not having experienced players spoiling the experience for me. (I don't read guides or use cheat codes. I play games the hard way, earning the satisfaction of completing a game without.) The other perks of not having online chat is not having to listen to all the B.S. that some people say. EXAMPLE, SOCOM II ONLINE. Without online chat, what it does do is give the player the experience of participating with others while not fully understanding their next move. Similiar to a real life scenario with stangers. There is a strong sense of urgency while playing this game. The feeling of having to get from point A to point B, while trying to stay ahead of the undead, is unnerving. Managing your inventory on the fly becomes a difficult task to master. The gameplay does not cease while your trying to figure out what to keep, pick up or give away. In recent RE games you had time to explore and run around and check things out. If the path of the explorer if chosen...good luck is all I can say. The next thing is the LOAD TIME. It is slow but the positive is the opportunity to form a strategy in between loads. Finally the last word. Overall the graphics and animations look great. The sound and music is excellent, creating the trademark atmosphere. The controls are clunky as always but you get used to them. The short comings are over looked once you become enthralled by the whole experience. GREAT BUY for the replay value.
