This Resident Evil remake is as good as a remake can get. The game is very creepy and is a very memorable experience.

There are many horror games on the market, but all of those are inspired by a horror game legend called Resident Evil. I review this REmake without ever playing the original game, so I review this game as an independent game not a remake.


The graphics in Resident Evil are just breathtaking. The game was released a long time ago, and they are still compeeting with the best graphical games on the Gamecube. The game looks extremely realistic and the whole game looks just like your worst nightmare. There is only one negative thing about the graphics and that's some stiff animations, but that doesn't keep me from giving this game a max graphics score.

The sounds are also very, very realistic and together with the graphics you may understand how frightening this game actually is. The music is also great, there aren't many tunes playing troughout the game, but silence is often just as scary as moody music. The lightning effects are also very scary.

Resident Evil has truly a fantastic gameplay with some very good ideas that could easily have been a part some of the new horror movies out there. You have to figure out some pretty tough ridles and shoot down some huge ugly monsters at the same time and that's a truly a tough challenge. You also find some letters and documents throughout the game that tells some pretty spooky stories about humans becoming zombies and so on. I personally think that those letters are some of the best bits of the game actually! It surprised how long the game was, cause I've never heard anything about the garden or the residence, so I was very surprised to see how long it took before I finished the game. The controls in Resident Evil are (and everyone knows it) bad. You get pretty used to them after a while, but when you panic there is no chance that you're going to hit that zombie cause you'll just keep pushing the wrong buttons until you're dead! Resident Evil is the best horror game I've ever played and it really scared me a lot.

Fantastic graphics and sounds. The mood is truly the best ever. The game is scary. The game is surprisingly long (10+ hours the first time through). The game has 10 different kinds of endings!!
