REmake will give you nightmares... ...
User Rating: 8.7 | Resident Evil GC
Let me start off by saying, if you have played the original and liked the original, you've gotta play this game! Even if you don't like these types of games you should at least give it a rent. The difficulty of REmake is based on which difficulty you picked, but Normal is harder than you think. I've spent around 20-40 hours playing this great game. Even though remakes of games don't really turn out so well. They changed 70% of the game. So if you have played the original you may not even remember some parts. Gameplay: 8 There are 2 bad things about the gameplay. The camera angles and how you walk in this game. You walk by having left and right to rotate your character. And up to walk and back to walk backwards. It takes about 1-2 hours to get used to if you have never played a Resident Evil before. If you are new to Resident Evil you might even find yourself running toward a zombie instead of away. The camera angles are not that great in this game. When you are aiming, the camera angles really screw you up. But then the game has auto aim. So that's good. They added 3 new things to. The abilty to walk back while you are shooting, quick-turnaround, and defence weapons that will end up saving your ass when you are about to be eaten by a zombie. Graphics:10 All I can say is, WOW! They did a great job with the graphics in this game. You can see your relflection off the most little things. And even really tiny things are really well detailed. When you shoot a zombie, his blood splatters all over the wall. And stays there for the rest of the game. When a zombie that is bleeding from the head falls to the carpeted ground. You will still see the pattern of the carpet there with blood on it. The blood in this game is as realistic as you can get. Sound: 9 The sound in every Resident Evil game plays a huge part of the game. And the music and sound effects in REmake are great. But there is only 1 bad thing about the sound. When you are getting eaten by a zombie Jill and Chris only have around 2 sound effects each for this. And every time you shoot a zombie, you will be hearing the same sound effect. But other than that. This game's music fits the situation very good. It is always creepy and scary. And they have so many sound effects for different things. They have so many sound effects of footsteps. I can name a few, too. Stepping on blood, stepping in water, stepping on a wood floor, and the list could keep going. Everybody should get a chance to play this game once in their life. Even if you don't like it. And for anyone who owns a Nintendo Gamecube this is a MUST have in your collection of games. -Akai Reaver
