If your the horror survival type, look no further. If you've never played this type of game look somewhere else.

Resident Evil: The Remake. All in all a solid piece of gaming, but with inherent cons. As always the controller set up will not appeal to most, but without those clunky controls the game would be too easy. Let me also say that this was my first time playing the first installment and I played it after having played Resident Evil Zero and Resident Evil Four. Now for the break down.
Gameplay: Speaking in terms of a person who has played RE0 and RE4, I found this very dissappointing. The game is essentially the same game that was on the playstation so long ago, although a few little things have been added they don't create a new game. The bosses are entirely too easy, pretty much the same strategy will get you through every one of them...In fact the boss of the game never managed to hit me once. Don't get me wrong, if your new to the genre or series you will enjoy it, but don't expect this game to measure up to the others.
Graphics: Very nice. The cutscenes are beautiful and all enemies look great. Don't ask me for the technicals....it just looks ausome....you won't be dissappointed.
Sound: Again...I don't know the specifics, but its good. It sounds great and there's plenty of different sound effects for different situations.
Value: I picked this up for twenty bucks, used. I got about eleven hours or gameplay out of it so the game was pretty good value. Although there is no replayability. I mean yea there is different difficulties and modes, but they all take place within the fabric of the same game. Even with the new weapons and extra modes you will still be playing the same story, puzzles, and enemies.
Tilt: I'm biased against this game because I played it after RE0 and RE4, but the storyline was great so keep all that in mind. All in all, don't waste your time unless your a survival horror or RE fan.
