Even after 5 years, it's a worthwhile game to play.

This game is a very good game, even after 5 years. Resident evil is a great game, with plenty of jumps that are sent through your body, courtesy of the living dead. You may hate the controls at first, but you grow used to them after 5 minutes. A few flaws are evident in the gameplay, especially the inventory management system, the lack of ammo, the large amounts of stamina enemies posess, and the "burning" of the bodies system. However, the thrills the game provide make up for that, even though you may need to play the game once before you really learn what you need to do. The Graphics are still strong in this game, nearly on par with Resident Evil 4, although the backgrounds of areas seem a little bland, especially in outside areas.
Sound is great, with just the perfect music present to give you chills down your spine.
Replay value is amazing. There are 3 modes of difficulty, with 3 additional modes to be played around with. Overall, this game is still worth buying if you can get it for under $20.
