Story- Probably the best thing in Resistances is its cool butt story, I cant really talk about it since it would spoil everything but I can tell you that Resistances story is so great because you know nothing about the Chimera your enemy throughout Resistance.
Gameplay- The gameplay in Resistance is a little clunky, the controls feel off for some reason and the game is insanely hard just because it has horrible check point spots. So really the biggest complaint I had with Resistance is its horrid use of check points. I mean dont get me wrong I love a challenge in video games like Cod4 on veteran or Demon's Souls, but when a game is hard simply because its full of BS thats where I draw the line. Look at Cod WaW, the enemy AI in that game was just so BS smart that it made the game BS hard simply because the AI is full of bull and was overly smart and enemies could spot you 100 miles away inside your house before you even have a chance to peek out the window. So when games like Resistance rely on BS hard challenges like limited check points or just god aweful AI it makes me mad because it just makes the game unfun and unfair. Another huge part about Resistance that killed it for me was the weapons, I thought it had good varitey however I missed one weapon and because of that I could not get it ever again throughout the entire game. Thats right people Resistance went back to the "you find it you keep it" tactic of the PS1 generation of gaming.
Graphics- In my opinion I feel the graphics are nice in Resistance, I mean first off this is a launch game so obviously the graphics would not be amazing looking however when it was first released it got praised for its use of graphics. I think even to this day it looks good just not great, or amazing like maybe Bioshock or even Oblivion which was a launch title for the 360 by the way ;).
Bottom line if you own a PS3 you should own Resistance:Fall of Man simply because its diffierent and has one hell of acampaign to it. I for one had a blast and really enjoyed myself in Resistance, Now as for Resistance 2... I hated that game so rent it first :P
