Revolved is the best puzzle game I've played in a long time. It's also one of the few games where I played the demo just once and knew I had to buy the full version! The premise is simple: Make squares from matching colored fuses which form the sides. Once you do, that square explodes and new fuses appear in its place, and your power meter goes up. In Arcade Mode, get the power meter to the top, and the level is completed. In Survival Mode, you want to prevent the meter from draining. First-time players will find Practice Mode indispensable; however, a few minutes there and you'll be itching to go on to one of the other modes! The learning curve for this game isn't steep. The graphics are awesome. The explosion animations are vivid, and when you get a large chain reaction going, it's almost too fast to know what's going on!! (You can play during the chain reactions if you are fast enough!!) Indeed, in the later levels, and in Survival Mode, you'll be relying on those chain reactions, as well as the power-ups, to meet your goals. Most people wouldn't expect outstanding sound from a puzzle game, but Revolved ranks highly in both background music and sound effects. An unlockable control lets you choose from one of three different techno mixes for the background music. The sound effects fit in perfectly and don't distract at all. Revolved is an exceptional game that is both fast-paced and challenging. What more could anyone ask from a puzzle game? Get the demo and try it out - you won't be disappointed!
