A great MMO that was amazing before the servers shut down....
Pros: Where to begin...hmmm....first off when you start up RF there is a GREAT opening scene that pulls you into the game right away. I think that is a great way to start a game, like with WoW, Final Fantasy XI and such. The gameplay is very easy to pick up on, and you can do the tutorial than go to the big city where quests are easy to find, go outside of town and kill stuff, but it is presented in a way that even if you do nothing but grind on other games it wont feel like a grind. Now when I started I played with a friend and was always motivated to out lvl him so I level'd pretty fast. The higher level players look amazing, the weapons look great and it gives you something to shoot for. What I really loved was the variety of monsters in this game. Like I went from fighting wolves, than went through a portal and was killed by a 10 story tall monster, but it was so cool to look at I didnt care that I died!!! The leveling is fun, fast and the teaming aspect is great too! If you have the same quests or even if you dont, it is fun to team together and accomplish something with a friend or two.
CONS! DUN DUN DUNNNN!!!!!!!!!! There are 2 flaws I found with this game, 1. It can get a little repetative, and if you dont have friends that play it WILL get boring. 2. They couldnt find a buyer so the servers are currently shut down! Hopefully someone will pick the game up and those of you who havnt played it can experience this amazing game, but if not than its just a memory for those of us who got that chance =*(
