A great little rhythm game with an interesting story and likeable character's.

User Rating: 9.5 | Rhythm Thief & the Emperor's Treasure 3DS
Rhythm Thief & the emperor's treasure can be found in most game shops for quite cheap now, i bought it for $20 and although the game is quite short (8 hours or so) it does have replay value so i feel it was money well spent.
The story take's place in Paris France which is a refreshing change, i don't ever remember playing a game set in France before so immediately i was interested in what was going on. So basically you play as a boy called Raphael who is leading a double life, when he is not Raphael he is Phantom R! Phantom R steals artwork from museums but then later returns them from where he stole them, confusing eh? Well i wont spoil the story.

Gameplay consists of rhythm mini game's, for example some times you have to sneak into places and to do that you must hide behind bushes in time with the music, sounds weird but that is how the story is told, with lots of mini games. Now there are many mini games to play and you get rated depending on how well you did, during the later games it gets quite hard to get an A rating and also i encountered a glitch on a couple of games where it wouldn't let me get an A so i hope nobody else has that problem.

The music is really good to and you will be wanting to replay the mini games over and over, the voice acting was ok, nothing special but it doesn't ruin the game at all. It also has some pretty good cut scene's and the controls were always responsive so overall i think this game is great, i would love to see another one made because i liked the character's and iv become quite the fan of Phantom R!

If you have some spare cash and are a fan of music/rhythm games then you must own this game. I would have given it a 10 had it not been for the glitches stopping me from getting A's, i feel like i can't fully complete the game which is a big shame! You can download a demo for this game on the eshop.
