Ridge Racer: The Best Sideways Action!

The Ridge Racer series has come a long way ever since the release of the Playstation, whenever that was. But the series was lacking something. Whatever it was, they sure have filled it with Namco's new Ridge Racer.

The game is just one word: Impressive. This is a major backflip for Namco, and this series is going to shoot through the roof when the X-Box 360 version is released. The graphics have to be the best I've ever seen in a racing game for a while. I never would have thought a PSP game would show such graphics until later on when games are more developed. Never has the drifting, speed and adrenaline felt this real. Speaking of drifting, the drifts are fun and a good way to show off. I always liked doing 360 degree drifts around corners and drifting past rivals just to laugh at them.
The new NOS system put into the cars is great too. Not only does it give a real sense of speed, but it also gives a fresh new look to RR.
And the soundtrack is fantastic. I enjoy listening to the remixes of old songs from the previous games.

I cannot think of a bad excuse for this game. I cannot think of a bad excuse for this game. Do yourself a favor about this game: BUY IT!
