When I began playing Rift it was for a MMO that would kill my WoW withdraws. (Quit playing WoW about two months before playing Rift). Wasn't looking at this game to fill a role that WoW had done previously. Instead I went into this game with a clear head and with the view of this has to be the best. Unfortunately like all other MMO's its the same boring quest after quest, dungeon after dungeon. The quest aren't very fun and the dungeons (from what I experienced) weren't all that great either. So I switched my gameplay from PvE to more PvP focused. Now PvP in Rift is ridiculous many will tell you that its amazing and awesome. I for one found it to be some of the most unbalanced PvP of my life. Now take it I never maxed out and PvP but I PvP up to atleast 30 and it was terrible. Cleric's *Healers* are dominate. Not only do they heal incredibly well but they also deal damage very well. Making it increasingly difficult to play anything but a healer. Now onto the positive side of Rift. Customization, developing your toon has never been more fun and rewarding. So much to choose from and so many different options to choose is awesome. Rifts/Invasion's awesome for the most part when lots of people are on. It does have its downsides real early in the morning when your just chilling an all of a sudden all hell breaks lose. For the most part Rift is the same old stuff with few surprises that just don't do enough to make it really worth it.
