It is a package. The sound is there and helps to set the mood. The combat is hack and slash with extras and that is perfect for me. The voice acting is superior to what I hear in most audiobooks. The scavenging is realistic, fun, and I love how you cannot have your weapon out if you want to find things or drink potions. The island setting and feeling of exploration remind me of Myst. The music and voice acting remind me of Diablo. Unplanned events or traps remind me of nothing in particular. I guess I would say sometimes that this game feels cinematic and that isn't some snarky comment about the frequent cutscenes. I mean the actual gameplay. I could be a Gandalf want-to-be hacking blocking and slashing my way through an island paradise for all I know...at least for the time I spend playing this game. It is that immersive. I did not like Oblivion even though it was rated well. I do not like pause and direct your 4 party members crpg's. I love this. Make more games like this.
