Decent game but in three phrases:Frustrating combat,Lack of choices aesthetic or otherwise and a bad journal interface.
Combat is very wonky and it seems designed to accommodate a controller and try to make up for its shortcomings. Not as bad as some games that are ported or double as pc/console games but still noticeable.
There are times where you will kill ten of eleven enemies and then take two minutes to kill the last one or die due to frustration causing you to recklessly attack. The left and right sidestepping feature seems akin to trying to circle strafe an npc in an mmo at times and other times functions like it should more like doing so in a pvp environment.
Character voices and actions while suffering a little lack of diversity are actually a little refreshing after spending a year playing two similar games *cough* Obliviout 3 *cough*.
All in all,as a fan of western, jrpg and mmorpg's still suffering WoW withdrawal after six months and not enjoying the direction most jrpgs have taken I was hard up for something to immerse myself in and this did the trick.
Whether you're an rpg fan or not you will more than likely enjoy this game and spend a decent amount of time with it. I wouldn't recommend shelling out more than thirty or forty bucks though.
