Where to start...This game is by far one of the best games on the face of the planet, especially within its genre. Riven was and still is a masterpiece, a work of art. I dream of playing this game years after beating it, wishing to jump back into the immensly difficult worlds that Cyan produced.
The gameplay is simple and effective. Point and click and solve puzzles to unravel the secrets to the D'ni civilizations. (just writing this is making me want to play it so bad...) The graphics were amazing for its time and the sound was no different. I was amazed by every single aspect of this game and I almost guarantee that any puzzle loving gamer would too. The story is solid and gripping and makes you anticipate playing Myst 3. I cant even tell you how much fun this game is to finally beat after years of playing. You'll find yourself writing journals, pages upon pages of notes, and thinking of it day and night.
So everyone thats even slightly interested in a challenging puzzle game should not hesistate to pick this up. It is a masterpiece that should have a name in history forever-more.
