Quite fun, but for some flaws..

First thing comes to my mind, is that this is one game out of the others have an interesting gameplay. You can change into a vehicle and move around, like the old robot things. But well, when playing I found myself going on foot, instead, most of the time (as it is a better way not to get doomed on your bike). But actually, this game does have something you could spend some hours to go thru.. First things first, in the game, you're thrown into a time when human is threatened by those robot things (sound familiar? then you know the rest), and you by chance play as one mysterious soldier, Locke, and like the others, you can mount on a suit the offer the powerful fire arms and the shield as well. Then? You're gonna knock your mission thru, sometimes it's just not only about running and shooting things. The game is just good to look at. But the background seem to be somewhat imaginary, that in fact, doesn't exist. Well, who care. The battle is a little colorful, flaring bullets, missile, and .. the enemy's blood is green (oh, that's so much for Teen rating huh?). However, the modeling of the character is not so good, as well as the action. The jumping action looks so stupid that I had to switch to FPV, in order not to see those. Anyway, the graphic is just smooth to play though. As mentioned above, the game is mission based shooter, which you can change from FPV to TPV ( as TPV has two more options: thru shoulder and real TPV). You have to get thru each and every mission, in order to proceed to the next mission. Some of that includes: protect some one, go to a certain point, and of cos, shooting up things !!! When you enter the game, you will imediately realise some of those could be done wrong. First to say, the hitting of bullet is stupid. Your enemies almost get no effect from the shot, as there is no physical effect. They just stand there, shoot back or sometimes blocking their eye (not eyes cos those alien has only one). In other games, you may find head shot, and in this game, you may find.. eye shot. Shooting the robot alien in the eye seem to cause more damage, or fatal to some kinds of enemy. However, there's an auto aim button if you wish to take them down normally, as doing eye-shot just usually can't kill your enemy in one shot, but the aiming is a pain as well. Talk about aiming, the aiming is done pretty well though. You can easily handle your gun, and it's highly recommended that you should keep the aiming sensity low, in order to make your shot accurate. But, in some situations, the turning around brings all the pain from behind. This is not like SOCOM, you don't have the max speed to modify, so it seems that you're turning at one and only speed. And unfortunately, that "some situations", happen very usually in the game, as aliens often fly over your head and jump on your back. Well.. if those happen, good luck. You have one main gun, which is interesting to say, can be upgrade after missions; and another gun slot, that can carry those taken from the field or the enemy (as some of your enemies is human). You can zoom w your gun pressing the R3 button, a good option. You have a grenade slot, and a melee attack as well. And comes right after, is the most promised interesting part: changing shape. As the matter of fact, quite disappointed, cos controlling this thing is another pain. Steering responds so badly that sometimes you can't say how hard you should turn and make your way into some fences aside your way. Well, maybe a good choice is to go straight, and press the button to change to normal to line your way up again, then press it again to hop on the bike.. Oh, so much for a biker. Even if you can handle the bike, there's one annoying thing to notice. You almost get damage like hell on the bike mode, cos the bike is your armor itself, so riding a bike somehow means leaving your body wide open. So what ya waiting for, hostile fire? Dying riding on a bike is amazingly irritating. Fix to its disadvantage, the missile can be used as on bike mode (funny thing they won't let you use it on foot, the control panel is in the back of the suit ? ^_^) and those missiles are auto-aim. And my advice: get back on you feet and shoot'em, forget the missiles !!!! The sound is awful, the voice acting is just doing a narration job thing, and the female voice is like a kid. The music will bring you repeated song, that maybe just not to bother your concentration, thanx. I don't know bout playing online, but this game is not so fun to play all over the missions again.
