Fans of the music from the console Rock Band games will enjoy being able to take them on the go.

User Rating: 9 | Rock Band Unplugged PSP
As a long standing fan of the Rock Band series, I was very skeptic of this game. Considering how so much of the enjoyment of Rock Band comes from the peripherals, it seemed unlikely that they could take those away and still make it fun. However, after playing Unplugged, I can safely say that it was the music that I enjoyed in Rock Band than the peripheral interaction. Being able to take my favorite Rock Band songs (as well as a few new ones) with me and still taking an interactive role in them has been far more enjoyable than I had thought possible. Being able to play all 4 parts of the band throughout the song adds an interesting twist to the game, however the World Tour and band customization elements are what we would expect from a Rock Band series game. The only problem is that you get to your favorite drum or non-solo guitar part in a song and it makes you switch over to bass, so the warm-up mode makes for a fun experience when you want to stick to one instrument. Overall I give this game a 9 out of 10 for taking an experience that usually requires a large amount of preparation and assembly and stripping it down to its most enjoyable aspects and making it portable.
