Rogue Galaxy is a very unique RPG set in a distant galaxy about space pirates. It is a completely new idea for an RPG!!

Rogue Galaxy is about Jaster Rogue who is a slave of the planet Rosa. Jaster wishes that he could explore the galaxy and find out what it is like. Well Jaster gets his chance when he is mistaken for the legendary hunter Desert Claw' and is then recruited as a pirate under the command of a very famous space pirate known as Dorgengoa' who is the leader of every space pirate in a giant ship called the Dorgenark.. Dorgengoa and his crew are recruiting space pirates from planets all over the galaxy so that the crew can get their hands on the biggest treasures in the galaxy. This is a very unique action roleplaying game. It has everyhitng you could wish for Awesome space pirates who live in an awesome ship' awesome planets' and about 45 hours of gameplay before completing the game. Everything from the characters' the story' gameplay' graphics' and the soundtrack are all great. The game is full of interesting characters such as Jaster' the hero of the story' Zegram' a one eyed pirate and a skilled swordsman' Kisala' the daughter of Dorgengoa' Simon a small dude with a loaded with guns and has a scottish accent' Steve an intelligent robot' Lilika a tribal woman skilled with a bow' Jupis' a lizard looking guy who is one of the galaxy's top hackers' Deego' a large dog man who is a veteran in war' and Monsha Dorgengoa's cat that stands on 2 feet and talks. The battle system is interesting. As you travel you will encounter many random encounters and no taking turns. You can have up to 3 pirates fighting at a time and you can freely run around the battle field as you use magic skills and hack through your enemies. You can through your enemies around' pick up items and through them at your enemies' and even use guns. The fights give you a lot of choice what to do. Boss battles are very awesome and entertaining and require a lot of team work. Very awesome fighting system. Aside from the battle system their is plenty to do such as mix weapons using the toady system' the insectron system' which lets you capture insects so that you can raise them and enter them in tournaments which is a very fun minigame' the revelation system which is a very interesting puzzle type thing which is how you give unlock new skills for your crew' the hunter system' which allows you to kill monsters to gain new points and to make you one of the galaxy's best hunters' and the factory system which allows you to make new items. To sum it up Rogue Galaxy is one of the best action rolepalying games for the PS2. It is outstanding in basically everyway and it is a completely new idea for an action RPG.
