I am gonna make this quick. i dont like this game. i started out having a great time, enjoying battles and bosses. i loved the voice acting (especially that amazon girl's) and liked the personality of the characters. i also liked some of the nostalgia it was giving me, since it reminded me both of dragon quest 8, and dark cloud1/2. then it all went to hell. that prison place's difficulty was INSANE. not because the enemy AI was good, but because your party are a bunch of ****** idiots. on top of that potions are really expensive and the party guzzles them like an alcoholic with a funnel. To make it worse, potion shops are so few and far between, by the time you get to the boss you have no healing items and might as well just hand the boss your gun, put down your sword and just let him end it. just about the only thing i had an isanely good amount of ti me with is the alchemy frog. i just loved making new and interesting weapons with him. i have to admit that it was really cool throwing in 2 mediocre swords and getting some cool blade that would be better than anything you would find in the next three stores. w/e i should have just gone with my gut and flushed that 60$ down the toilet. and the graphics were not that great. dragon quest 8 was much better.
