Rogue Galaxy, is a huge game. With a great look, and fun gameplay.
There's a total of 6 different playable characters, each with there own attack functions and weapons. But you must have Jasper (The main character) in your party all the time (Which bothers mea little).
The game takes place in a spacey futuristic, kind of world (or in this case, Universe). With 5 explorable planets you visit (and one more level after you beat the game). You travel from planet to planet using a pirate ship, the captain is of course a pirate, Captain Dorgengoa, who plays a small part in the story.
The battle system is random encounter, which can get quite annoying, and repetitive. You basically have to hack and slash the enemy, untill there dead, unless it's a special enemy that requires you to jump and hit them or destroy they're barrier.
The storyline, is so-so, with the cliché save-the-universe-from-the-evil-genius kind of feel to it. There's a great deal of text in this game, more towards the end.
The part (or parts) that I love most about this game, is the end game stuff, like insectron. Which is a chess type game where you use bugs to battle your opponents bugs. Each of which you catch and feed. I also love the hunting challenges, which you buy. Once you've bought one, it tells you were and what you'll need.Travel to the spot, and hold up the item required, you'll battle a "boss" once killed turn it in you get quite a reward. You'll also get different Costumes for completing different tasks, like all the hunting challenges, or the synthesis.
