Charming game in a unique setting.
The graphics in this game are cell-shaded. I guess the best way to describe them are slick. Everything is sharp, clean and character models are nicely detailed. The environments are large and full of detail but linear which is my only complaint.
In terms of storyline there is nothing special and for me the enjoyment was more through the experience of the world than the plot. But I must comment the character designs, even though their character development was shallow, each looked unique and uncliche.
Battles occur in real-time hack & slash. You can use a primary or a secondary weapon together with certain special skills. As in all H&S, the battles tend to get repetitious over time, but gameplay is fun and satisfiying nevertheless.
I found the music in the game to be average. Nothing really stood out for me. Voice acting was great though and really brought out the personalities of each character.
Overall a nicely packaged JRPG. Nothing really mindblowing but I enjoyed playing it, reminded me of FFIX somehow.
