Anime world with addicting gameplay , beautiful graphics, never gets repetitive, satisfying characters and more!
But since i have money and was looking for a new rpg (even though i have many already that should be playing and trying to finish), i was looking forward for something that could capture me all the way through! Like in FF8, FF9, Chrono Trigger and Legend of Legaia but as you can see all these games are still from the PSX and i still havent got a game that made me wanna go all the way through in the PS2 (note: i bought the PS2 in 2006 late as usual).
Now what does that have to do with my review? Well everything! Let me tell you that this is the kind of game that i am MOST DEFINITELY is going all the way through! Im sure of it just like i was sure when i finished my first rpg on PSX wich was Legend of Legaia (one of the most satisfying gameplays ever)!
Okay for the review:
Gameplay: Yesssssssss, totaly dynamic and trilling. Rogues Galaxy gameplay is all that a player needs (for me anyway). You hack n slash your way through your enemies, shoot them, jump on them, grab them, taunt them, use magic on them, use skills on them, use special abilities on them, do super combos on them, do a double player combo on them and yes much more because i havent finished the game yet! LOL!
Graphics: Loved it! The graphic is totaly animish with 3D. Its seriously very beautiful and very accommodating! Yes accommodating. Why? Well easy because first off when you go inside a house or you go farther in the map, this graphic is so smooth that you dont have to wait to load the other part of the map or load someones home or load inside a new city! Serious the map is all around it doesnt load anything, as you progress it keeps on going and its just very casua, very real I LOVED IT! Also the characters model are so well done that when they get new weapons or clothes they change them in the game too! You know? Not just inside a freaking battle.. they changed them all around! Even when an event happens they are still using the new equipment you put them with, now thats just too real and awesome! LOVED IT!
Sound: Now i REALLY wanted to give this game a satisfying 10 (perfect score) but I cant because well it isnt perfect. Lets talk about the sound.. well its got everything that your suppoused to have! Background music is just right for every place you go, you can feel the environment and the little details (example: if your in a "rain forest" you can hear bugs, animals, trees, you know the sound of an rain forest!). The sounds of the fights are just right, from hack n slash, to friends crying for your help, through monsters atacking and getting beaten.. its got all the moves and again the right background music! What im trying to say is the game has all the sound necessary to give em two thumbs up but it aint got the moves to make you go "holy sh*t thats one cool sound system" you know? Well thats my opinion anyway.
Value: This game is worth GOLD, all around an AWESOME new rpg with its own individual elements and its incredible world. This is a must have for anyone who wants an anime like rpg with amazing gameplay and a story so sweet that it keeps you going and going. Its not like Squarenix that they try to win us with fancy 3D in every bit of the game... i mean sure the Final Fantasy series are great but to me their gameplay is always so BORING! SO YEAH you want a new rpg that DOESNT get boring! This is the one! To me its the best rpg in the PS2!
