An amazing game, but it has some familiar elements....very familiar...

The makers of Dark Cloud and Dragon Quest VIII now have a sci-fi themed R.P.G. You play as Jaster, and head off from your desert planet and into a galactic-scale adventure. Events, fields, and battles are presented continuously, with no load times and only a rare blank transition screen. The battle system is action based, with combos and special attacks. The game also includes an item synthesis and creation system using the synthesis frog and the factory, both of which you acquire later in the game. Some people have said that this game seems awfully Star-Warsy, but has anyone noticed that the item revelation, for skills and stat upgrades, seems a lot like the one from Final Fantasy XII?
