This game is just cool. There is no other way to put it. True: it does not necessarily do anything new. It is another 3rd person, over-the-shoulder shooter set in a far away deserted planet that puts one, lone hero against insurmountable odds. I have never read the comics which this story comes from, but I have heard from some friends that it is very cool. The story follows the exploits of a genetically engineered super-soldier who is battling with his fellow genetically engineered soldiers for the ownership of their little piece of real estate. The controls are good, the graphics are good for an XBox title, and the sound and voice action (while comic bookish) are good and combine to make you feel like you are really waging war with your avatar. The game is a gem amongst many mundane similar games. The only negative thing I have to say about this game is that it is over way too soon. The game does come to a good ending, it does leave you hungry for more. We can only hope for a Rogue Trooper 2.
