Rome total war is simle to learn you don't have to be afraid that it's to hard because onli thing you ave to look out is that your man ar not getting tired for the rest your man are easy to control. but don't get worry it's gonna be to simple you can set te level to hard or very hard.
what still is a problem is that you cant see the range of your archers so you don't now if you are in range
the extra version Rome total war barbarian invasion is quite good fun because you have stronger women groups and in dark the have torch that is rather cool if you hide your troops the wil extinguish the torch whit's make it hard to see them
here is my usually list of + and -

+you can grow whit te game
+better campaign map
+better graphics

-stil no sea fights
-you can't see the range of your archers
