It wasn't as amazing as I had hoped... (how many times has that happened)

It was so-so, even for a major RPG lover like me I can't say it was the best in the new series. RPG Maker had a much shorter learning curve and now I can adeptly type anything into the message window; but this new RPG Maker is a disappointment as it relies too heavily on having a USB keyboard. I even tried searching for one at stores, but to no avail.

The 3D concept with the weather is nice, and the ability to do more with special attacks and programs is awesome, but if you aren't a first rate programmer the curve will steepen. The game overall is nothing compared to RPG Maker 3, which has better graphics but more limited control. If you are looking for sacrificed control but decent graphics move up to RPG Maker 3.
