RPG Maker gives you a good tool for making games...if you're willing to learn how to use it.

GAMEPLAY: 9/10 RPG Maker can be rewarding and enjoyable, but first you have to master the steep learning curve. I bought this game for $15 on eBay, and while I was waiting for it to be delivered, I went to GameFAQs and studied Dias Flac's FAQ. That guy is a master, and i knew the basics of RPG making as soon as I got my copy. The sample game is probably the cheesiest game on the planet, but I enjoyed it. There are lots of commands to choose from when making an even, so you can basically make the game do whatever you want. You have 60 or so character templates with 4 colors each, so that's about 240 character sprites to choose from. GRAPHICS: 4/10 Frankly, the game's graphics suck. Badly. Agetec should've waited a year and released it for the GameCube, then you could've somehow ported your creations onto a Game Boy Advance. At best, the graphics are SNES-worthy...at best. SOUND: 6/10 The background music isn't much better, and the sound effects simply belong in the trash. However, for the games that you'll make with this, they are completely adequate. VALUE: 10/10 This game has as much replayability as your imagination allows. Boy, that sounded downright corny... TILT: 9/10 If you are willing to put the time and effort into making a game and learning the system, this is a good game for you.
