Not The Kind Of Game For Those Who Are After Fancy Graphics Or Perfect Game Play.

This Game is worth the try. It's a Browser Based Game, So you won't have the trouble of uninstalling it from your computer. Although this game does tend to get you addicted, despite the grind game play. The Combat system is horrid. You click on an "enemy" to attack them, and that's basically all that you do for the combat system. Although there IS the occasional "Click The Food In Your Inventory To Heal" process, but again it's still simple click and wait system. But it's not only the combat system. Everything you do in the game (mining, woodcutting, smithing, fishing etc.) is a click and wait process, making the game VERY tedious. The good side of Runescape is that the quests ARE somewhat unique, opposed to the Go Here, Get This, Come Back, or Go Here, Kill X number of these, Come Back, etc in most MMORPGS nowadays. Although, Once the quests are done, it's just a constant skill grind for your ultimate goal of a skill cape. But the problem is, when that's over, there really isn't much else to do, besides generate money from your new source of guaranteed money.

The PvP is really bad, now that they removed the wilderness. The only place to actually PK other players is the duel arena, or mini games such as clan wars.

During the introduction of Runescape "2", Jagex has now a phobia of player "cheaters" (such as macroers or such), going overboard with the precautions. The game generates a mass amount of random events in the game that "tests" whether or not you're actually there. They are quite annoying and just simply make skill grinding more tedious. The game even logs you out after 30 SECONDS of inactivity.

Role playing in the game is completely non-existant. If you were to walk around in the game with a fancier approach than the latest "dragon armor", you'll simply be called a "noob" by the other players.

Seeing how there's a lot of reviewers here complaining about the graphics, Jagex is soon releasing a graphics update, bringing Runescape closer to the current gen of gaming graphics. Although this is defiantly a plus, I always played Runescape for the game play, and thus for me, it's not something to hype over.

The Music isn't all that great, but it isn't a constant loop of bad music either. There's a panel which is sort of like a music player in the game. It really isn't that bad, but it's not something I'd find inspiring, as Jagex has used some sort of cheap midi device for their "tracks"

All in all, there's no reason to not give this game a shot, but it's simply not worth putting more than 50+ hours into this game, as in the end, it's simply a skill grind or money making grind (one way or the other, usually both at the same time [ more money = higher skill training] ) . Sure, there's an option of paying 5 dollars a month for membership (which I've tried), but it's still the same skill/money grind in the end (after the quests, that is, if you even choose to do them).
