A decent, lengthy game, especially for free-to-play.
The good: RuneScape is great to play with friends. The no download gameplay makes it playable from any computer with Java (which is basically any computer), and free play makes it open to anyone, at any age. There is more than enough to do on a free to play account, but at five dollars per month (which isn't very steep compared to WoW's fifteen dollars monthly) you can access much, much more content. If you need to kill time, RuneScape is your best friend.
The bad: RuneScape takes a lot of time to be successful in the game. Especially to keep up with the people who are... Socially challenged, and spend a more-than-recommended time on the game. If you want to go into the Wilderness, you have to be an exceptional character. Another bad part are the over abundance of bots. Bots are almost a given in RuneScape, and they take away from leveling skills up (for example, the wood-cutting bots take away logs from trees that actual players are trying to cut for money or experience).
Overall, the game isn't bad, as long as you're willing to stay dedicated to it. Otherwise, play something else.
