good concepts but bad follow through
The combat in Runescape isn't that great though. You click on an enemy and based on your three skills, strength, defense, and attack, you deal damage. You can use a sword, an axe, a whip, or whatever else for melee attacks. For a bow or crossbow its the same but its ranged. Magic uses runes to cast spells and the higher your level is the more powerful your spells are. Spells can also do other helpful things like teleport you to a city. With all of these ways to attack the higher level they are the better equipment you can use. The armor in the game is pretty basic, you get a cuirass, a shield, a helmet, and legs. There's not much of a difference between them expect the different materials used to make them.
The quests in this game are pretty good. Some of them are as easy as gathering items and some are as hard as beating a dragon. The quests give you gold and some rare items. The graphics in this game are horrible though. Since most of the game is played by people who don't pay to play, the creators didn't bother to make the graphics that good, and this game is pretty old. In Runescape you can play for free or you can pay about $5.00 a month for a bunch of content. As a member you get around 3x more quests, 2x the land, more skills to use, different realms to use, and a lot of other stuff. Overall I think that this game has some really good concepts used, but things like graphics, and limited content really bring this game down. If youl like MMOs you should give this one a try, especially since its free.
