R.U.S.E, strategy at it's best wraped up in a beautiful contry side and ambiance.

Some people out there like the real strategy, planing and thinking games usually found in TBS's like Victoria, others like the 'real' feel and 'eye candy' scenery of RTS's like Company of Heroes.
Civilization is a good example of an integration between the two, but it still falls a little short on looks and feel.

R.U.S.E is exactly that. It is a game for heavy thinkers and hard strategists, but those who play it can enjoy an amazing landscape, sounds & ambiance while they try and predict the next enemy's turn.

The map it's self is actually a 3D map on a table in an war room, (something you notice as you zoom out) including ambient talking and radio sounds - zoom in again and the units turn from chess pawn type units to actual soldiers.

The game has a strong emphasis on deception tactics and holds a long list of "R.U.S.E's", from spy networks to false attacks and dummy buildings, the game is built so these become an integral part of you and your enemy's strategy.

Units in the game are produced by different types of buildings. The units them selves are historically accurate and the choice of units depends on the year you choose to play in (1939, 1942 or 1945).

Along side buildings that produce units, you will have to build supply depose to maintain a cash flow, and stationary defense buildings (depending on your nation and year) such as MG nests and AT bunkers.

All in all, this is a game i would recommend any one to at least take a peak at, for strategy players i would say this would be a must have game.
