Gamespot 's score is far to low and it really is a shame because a lot of players likely missed out on an excellent game

Rygar the Legendary Adventure has excellent graphics and a wonderful soundtrack. This game also has some of the most exciting gameplay on the PS2 thanks to the amazingly fun diskarmor. You will find three different diskarmors throughout the game each with their own unique ability. All three can also be uprgraded. The story involves you the gladiator hero rescuing princess Harmonia who has been kidnapped. A pretty basic story but it all comes together quite nicely thanks to the beautiful cutscenes. This game also has plenty of hidden goodies to discover and it doesn't force you down a predestined path for the most part. The game is fairly short but with extra items added after you complete this game once it really adds a good replay to the game. The game will take first time players probably around 10 hours to complete. Like I said before a player will more than likely feel compelled to go through this game at least twice. I went through it four times. Overall Rygar lives up to its name and is one of the best action adventure games you will find on the PS2.
