This really is a '10' game for graphics. For the PS2, I have never seen such detailed textures and creatively made environments. Since this is an action game, you don't really interact with the environments except to destroy them -- much of the world is made of destructible polygons. As an action game, it is a lot of fun to explore around and use the diskarmor to defeat foes. There aren't a lot of different enemy types, but the ones that are there look really great. If you like LOR: Two Towers' action-based gameplay, it is very likely you will like Rygar even more. The graphics are better and the fighting controls are perfect. The GS review mentions the camera, but this was never a big issue for me. When you have to jump, you see where you need to go, so I never had to worry about the camera. The story is dumb, really dumb, but then again this is an action game. Oh finally, the bosses look amazing and clearly were created from some game designer's twisted id. The game isn't long, but is worth playing on the higher difficulty levels in order to gain new abilities for the diskarmor.
