Easily one of my favorite games in the last decade.
I decided what the hell and went to gamestop where I was able to get the special gamestop edition without a pre-order, though the code is broken right now they will be patching it soon I believe. I have to honestly say this has been the best $60 spent in a long time, I've had fun with plenty of games like the call of duties, and gears of wars, but nothing has been so addicting and satisfying as this game. They kind of just toss you into this game so the first hour or so I was a little turned off, but once you start leveling and understanding how to customize everything from stats to combat arts(which are like spells in this game) to even weapons with slotting, this game becomes amazing. The game world is in no exaggeration HUGE, there are many quests which are kind of mindless but fun none the less, and playing online with friends or even strangers has been a blast. I find myself constantly thinking about how to make my characters better even when I'm not playing, I haven't felt this way about a game in a very long time.
Bottom line is don't be turned away by the initial scope of this game if you give it time and start to learn how to use all of the features it becomes a great action rpg game with hours and hours of mindless killing and looting, best enjoyed with friends if possible over live. Have fun.
