Anyone who compares SR to GTA, is clearly missing the point. Saints Row rarely takes itself seriously, but delivers a seriously good time. I enjoyed Saints Row 2 and thought the 3rd was one of the best marketed games this season. The commericals just make it look awesome and ridiculous. I have been playing nothing but Skyrim and needed a change of pace, and Saints Row 3 delivered. From the very beginning, you will find yourself laughing out-loud. The characters are fresh compared to most blah boring characters that inhabit most games nowadays. The character creation along is deep and rewarding, and the wealth of side content throughout Steel Port is impressive. Tank and helicopter mayhem, drug deals, assanations and auto theft, its all hear. Plus, insurance fraud is a great little side mission that if you've ever played BurnOut Paradise City, you will recognize. The main story is fairly long and incredibly deverse, but roaming the city and causing mayhem is the funnest part. I've heard people call this game too short, but there's no way. I'm 28 hrs. in and haven't completed an 8th of everything available.
Saints Row hits gold in what it was trying to accomplish, it's your fault if you thought it was something else.
