wity, sexy, funny and wild. Saints Row: The Third packs one hell of a punch *May contain minor spoilers*
Graphics: Saints Row was never known for having amazing graphics and
unfortunately this is also the case here. First lets start off with the good: The voice acting is fantastic and not to metion funny as hell, the effects like the explosions, fire, and other effects that I don't want to spoil look great, At night when you are flying through the city it can look pretty cool with all the neon lights lighting up the buildings of Steelport, the music is quite good (but not as good as the second one, a minor complaint), and the amount of stuff going on is pretty good. Now what isn't so good is that the graphics are not going to blow you away. There is a lot of bugs like clipping and rag doll physics, and just don't except a huge improvement over the second game. But graphics are probably the least important part of the game, espically one that is fun as hell.
Gameplay: Now this is where the game truly shines, for being nothing but pure fun. First lets start off with the basic controls. The controls for the driving, shooting, walking and everything are tight and fun to control, this is important. Now lets start with the main missions and side activities. Let me start off by saying that most of the main missions are just a blast to play and you are going to be doing some pretty crazy stuff. If you thought the second and first were over the top, you haven't seen nothing yet. you will be sky diving in a tank nontheless, driving a car with a mad tigger in it, entering a computer world similar to TRON and so many other crazy things that I don't want to spoil. There are also a lot of side activities to do, some have returned from the other games like insurance fraud, mayhem etc. and you will also have a lot of new ones like tank mayhem, Profesor Genki's ultra reality tv show (or something) and many more that are a ton of fun. Now the next few things people are either going to love or hate. In the Third you don't have to play the activities to unlock the next story mission. Instead respect is used to level up in an RPG element and you can unlock new upgrades for yourself. Another changed mechanic is that there is only one main story instead of having three different stories like in the second one, making the game feel more linear than the others. But a new improvement is that at times you get to make choices that won't really effect the story (except for the last one) but will instead give you other rewards such as new weapons or reduced prices at stores. These new changes didn't really bother me, so I can say that I loved pretty much every moment of this game.
Over all:
Story: 9 While not amazing, gets a nine for just being a fun ride.
Graphics: 8 while not a huge improvement, they will get the job done.
Gameplay: 9.5 fun as hell and will keep you coming back for more.
Enjoyment: 9.5 Saints Row is some of the most fun I had in 2011 and is one of the best games of that year.
Final Score: 9
