Any Samurai Champloo fan should try out this game.
Anyways, I love Samurai Champloo and I heard the game was alright so I thought I’d try it out. First, I think it’s really cool that the characters aren’t anime styled like in the show. They kind of have a realistic look to them and I like it. Second, I wish they could’ve gotten Mugens orignal voice actor, but the voice actor for the game does pretty well. Third, I really like the combat. (I’ve just started playing the game so it might get old) but I like the fact that the hip hop soundtrack is how you do your attacks and things like that. Graphically it’s not the best game out there. Some of the environments look kind of bad but the character models are pretty good. I like Mugens attack animations. Well, I like Mugen so I’m biased there. I haven’t played through Jin yet but I will as soon as I’m done with Mugen. The story is pretty cool so far and I like how it’s like another little side adventure they have while searching for the Samurai who smells of Sunflowers. I don’t like all the loading times, but the games I play don’t usually have that so maybe I’m just being a baby but oh well. Overall, if you’ve never watched the series you can still give it a shot but it would be best if you knew about the show first. If you’re into SamCham then definitely get this game!
